Israel's Sweet Potato Pudding

Israel's Sweet Potato Pudding

(Makes about 56 oz)

Serving: 10 People

·FOREWARNING TO ALL OF OUR LOVELY READERS! BE CAREFUL NOT TO LEAVE THIS YUMMY DELICIOUS PUDDING IN ARMS REACH OF TODDLERS!·

My nephew, Israel, loves helping us in the kitchen, and especially loves going outside with us to take pictures of the beautiful food we make! Today, I left him a few too many seconds alone with this decadent dessert and he had the spoon shoved into his mouth before I knew it!! "NOOOOO!" I exclaimed from the kitchen door; but it was too late. He looked up at me with his big brown eyes and smiled with this orange pudding all over his face. I couldn't help but embrace his sweet smile and innocent licking of the spoon.

The Lord tells us in Matthew 18:3, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven". I remembered this verse as I slightly reminisced on how pretty the pudding looked before Israel got a hold of the dessert but then I realized that this picture above turned out way better than before.

Israel has a way of teaching us all lessons throughout every day. Today he reminded me of what Jesus said in the bible, to become like a child. And this child, Israel, made this picture perfect in every way- to remind us all that life is not perfect, recipes are not perfect, but our Author of Life, our Master Chef of our kitchen is Jesus Christ and He IS PERFECT and IS ALIVE IN ME! -Brittney Elizabeth
